Matthew 5:9 “You're blessed when you can show people how to cooperate instead of compete or fight. That's when you discover who you really are, and your place in God's family.”
Speaking sarcastically, I absolutely enjoy those situations where you’re trying to avoid drama and somehow it turns out dramatic anyways. For example, you know when someone is in a cranky mood it’s just smart not to say anything because no matter what you say it won’t turn out well. Unfortunately, not saying anything can turn out bad as well. All of us have our moments. As Christians we are called to be peacemakers. No matter how people treat us we need to react in a Christ-like manner. Don’t tell me that it’s impossible. As hard and impossible as it seems, it’s very possible we just have to be willing to put enough effort into actually doing it. You can always tell when someone wants to actually achieve something because they will put a ton of effort into it. If they don’t really want to do it, more work will be put into making excuses for why they can’t. Repay evil with good, which means if someone sins in their actions towards you, don’t react in the same way, react in the way Christ would and bring peace to the situation. It’s easy to come back at someone with rude comments but let’s try putting a little work into how we act, maturing depends on it and God requires it.
1 Peter 3:8-9 “Summing up: Be agreeable, be sympathetic, be loving, be compassionate, be humble. That goes for all of you, no exceptions. No retaliation. No sharp-tongued sarcasm. Instead, bless—that's your job, to bless. You'll be a blessing and also get a blessing.”
