Test-Tube Burgers

Isaiah 2:22 “Stop trusting in the power of humans.  They’re all going to die, so how can they help?”
I work the night shift with my friend.  Her mother always ends up finding the strangest articles and sometimes will send my friend the link to these articles through email.  Last night I got the pleasure of reading the newest article her mother had found.  It was called, Test-Tube Burgers.  I know as soon as you read that your eyebrows went up and you’re thinking, “They wouldn’t.”  Oh, but they would.  They’re trying to make food by placing a couple of cells in a nutrient mixture.  Once the cells have grown and made muscle and tissue, it will be stretched to form edible food.  This idea apparently started quite a long time ago with a P.O.W who was in Nazi camps for quite a while.  He had to endure starvation and watch severe animal abuse.  Through this horror he decided we should just make food in a laboratory like we do so many other things.  They go on to mention in the article how important the completion of this idea would be because of the high amount of meat we consume and the dangerous levels of greenhouse gases livestock produce.  It’s sad that we’ve come to the point that we can’t even trust in God to provide our food anymore.  We wonder why there’s such a rise in sicknesses like cancer, we can’t leave well enough alone.  God made everything perfect and in that He provided a perfect balance to it all.  If people spent more time on searching for God instead of searching for ways to replicate what He’s already created, the world might go somewhere other than down the toilet.  Our world is not an experiment gone wrong, it is a perfect creation that is beyond any of our testing and replicating. Don’t try to change what God is doing, you won’t succeed.
Genesis 1:31 “God looked over everything He had made; it was so good, so very good!”
