Birthdays

John 8:44 “He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

I enjoy birthdays, a lot.  Not just my own but those of others.  It’s a time to see yourself or someone else get loved on and for one day in their life feel like the most important person.  A lot of people feel alone even when they’re surrounded by a crowd of people.  That crowd may even be people that care for them.  Satan is really good at telling us we don’t matter.  We may have many many people who care for us but we allow satan to whisper that little lie into our minds.  Even if we don’t think anyone here on earth cares for us, God cares for us more deeply than we’ll ever know.  I believe this is why he allows birthdays as a celebration day.  It reminds us that He was rejoicing the day we were born because He was breathing life into a new creation.  He wants us to remember we are his precious child and the day we were born was the start of the plan He had laid out for us.  Don’t listen to what satan has to say.  Live in the truth God has to speak into your life, the life He gave you the day you were placed inside your mother’s womb.

1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
