Stubborn Faith

1 Corinthians 15:58 “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”

My little niece who is a little over a year is very stubborn.  If she doesn’t want to do something she will sit down and yell.  She’s gotten into a new habit of growling at us when we take something away from her.  She’ll ball up her fists and give a long grunt.  You try to stay serious with her but it’s about impossible not to burst into laughter when she does it.  She doesn’t give up either.  She will keep trying to get what she wants until we completely move her away from the situation.  We need to be so stubborn in our faith that nothing can sway us to compromise.  We need to ball up our fists with determination and not give up.  There will be times when we feel weak, but we need to keep pushing on until God, our daddy, can remove us from the situation.  If we have the option to get away from the situation, we need to do so.  If God tells us to wait, we need to wait until He moves us to safety.  There’s so much evil in the world, the last thing it needs is more encouragement, especially from those that should be stubborn against it.  Stand firm.  Don’t let any circumstance dim your faith in Christ.  Giving up and giving in is lame.  God still hasn’t given up on us and given in to doing away with us.  How can we give up on standing firm for Him and giving in to the evil that despises Him?

Job 36:5 “God is mighty, but despises no one; he is mighty, and firm in his purpose.”
